unification isnt a mod, it is Literally copied everything. almost everyone's computer just crashes because combining mods that arent made on the same engine is a complete virus.

The building mechanics in Dawn of War is what made it good in my opinion

Ew gross the only reason i didnt touch DoW3 was because of how terribly shoddy of a let down 2 was & regularly go back to DC & Soulstorm so yanno each his own, RTS primarily involves base building, resource management and army management though. Not Garen from League with blood raven armour. WEIRDEST part is though if theyd have released 2 & 3 as their own thing instead of sullying the DoW franchise & burying the RTS under a false flag reasoning they'd have probably been better recieved but it was the blatant lie that these were sequels just ruined expectations. & i stand by RTS being considered "dead" nowadays because all the devs stopped making rts's & started trying to reinvent the wheel. & its not just one genre its the entire industry give Fromsoft as example, known for beautiful/intricate level design & each challenge is new and unique, now look at Elden Ring's open world slog that removes any sense of achievement & the myriad some 100 out of 111 bosses being reskins & youve now got a soulless formula designed to look good on spreadsheets but really isn't. TLDR; gaming's dead executives killed it.

The ending bit of this, with you going "I wish I'd supported DOW3 more so I could've seen what it could've become" almost feels like a battered housewife. It's also, way funnier, after the release and arguably failure of Company of Heroes 3 in very similar ways.

What do you mean no women play this game? I literally didn't care at all about Warhammer 40K until my fiance got me into the table top.

When I read that there would be different playable groups, I presumed that there would be multiple story modes to try each group out. Instead if was one story mode with a good chunk of it focused on a group of Blood Angels having to put up with and be talked down by a battle sister and her group in a woke cringe highly annoying way. I was so mad in so many different ways.

Should've had the Space Marines lose and the Tau pick up the slack, switching the Races half way might be fun af and, if long enough of a campaign, you could still develop the story and the events

DOW 2.. was when I started loosing intrest in DOW.... I hated the smaller micro rts, squad based gameplay.. I want epic battles with drop pods and land raiders crashing I to swarms of orks or nids.. not controlling 4 squads..

Endless Space 2 music in a Dawn of War video?

Personally i think DoW2 was the best gameplay of the bunch. Just wish they did more to flesh out factions and that the army painter let you customize better. I liked not base building and focusing more on squad tactics.

I honestly think its sad how much this mod is praised now. It really went downhill since they released the 1.7 update, and it feels like people are perfectly fine ignoring all of it's issues.

Storm Troopers vs Space Marines is something I want to see.
